For the rest of your lives you will be faced with decision making. Right now I would like you to look back on your decision making in your lives so far by following the directions below. In order to receive full points you MUST have at least 10 COMPLETE sentences.
1. Students will select a specific factor which influences the decision making process (Values, Priority, Environment, Peers Role Models, Family, Self-Image) and prepare a personal essay explaining how the factor previously influenced a personal decision.
2. Students may choose any decision from their past but should explain the decision in detail.
3. Be sure to not put anyone's full name.
One day my friends were doing some bad stuff and they wanted me to do it with them. I said no because i didn't want to get in trouble. They were drinking and smoking and they thought it was fun so they asked me. They were dunk and were very way out of it. Their breath stunk as much as a skunk. It was horrible and repulsive. I didn't like to be around them at all. They kept following me around, trying to get me to drink. I kept saying no and they eventually gave up, when they passed out.
ReplyDeleteMy family has influenced me before. When I wanted to go somewhere with some people.Then, my parents were like, "Thats a dumb place to go. You know you wont have fun there". At first, I questioned why they said this. I thought about it some more, and they were right. I wasnt going to have fun were they were going. So, I stayed home and had a good evening there. On Monday I found out that they had had a terrible time. So, I listen to my parents more
ReplyDeleteMy family has influenced my decisions that I have made in my life. They have influenced me on what to do and where to go sometimes. They sometimes influence me what to buy in stores.
ReplyDeleteMy peers have also influenced me on many of my decisions too. A lot of times they will help me pick something or help me decide whether or not I should do something that I don't want to do.
I have had many people influence me in my life. My family has and always influence me. My family can infleunce me in many different ways. Everywhere we go they influence me on what to and where to get.
ReplyDeleteThe other people who has influence my ways are my peers. When they do things and ask me I have no idea what to do. They try to get me to do sometimes bad things and they say come on try it. That is a really tough decsion to make. I really try to make the best decsion I can. That is how my peers have influence my life.
Ever since I was little my parents have been an important influence on my decision making. The things that they have taught me over the years continues to influence my behavior and actions. When confronted with a difficult decision I often consult with them on the best way to approach the situation.
ReplyDeleteEver since I started school I have always been confronted with either taking control of my grades or being lazy. My parents have taught me that procrastination is not the key and that I should always give my best effort. That mental discipline has stayed with me my entire life.
Some people that have influenced me in my life are my peers and my family. Sometimes I am not sure if I am making the right decisions and they help me make them. They are very supportive of my decisions. Over the years I have learned a lot of things from my peers. My family teaches me that some things that other people do aren’t a very good thing to do even if they want you to. Over all I would say that there are a lot of choices that I have to make every day.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn’t have my family or my friends I would have to make those decisions on my own. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it always helps when other people are around to help me. Making decisions isn’t always the easiest thing to do when you are all alone with no one else to help. They have both helped me and I am glad to have them.

ReplyDeleteMy Family has had a major impact on my decisions ever since I was little. They have always taught me to do what is right and look through the situation before I decide what I want to do. And they are a big part of where I am now and who I am.
ReplyDeleteMy priorities and peers have also had a huge impact on my life decisions. Whether it was picking out shoes at the mall, or if it was a huge deal. Many peers have had different opinions, and ideas about what I should have done or did. Then when i still couldn't decide I would go talk through everything with my parents or older brother Cody.
I am also the world’s biggest procrastinator when it comes to homework! When I just do my stuff when I get it and everything it helps me stay on top of things and get good grades. My priorities can sometimes get in the way of thing also depending on if I really need it or if it is just another thing that I want.
Many different things influence my decisions in my life. The most influential factors would probably be my family and peers. They always make sure that my decisions are made as great as possible.
ReplyDeleteOne of my decisions in my past that I've had to make would have been choosing whether or not to work during the school year. My family helped me decide whether I should or shouldn't. We sat down before the school year started, and talked about the pros and cons of working during school. We came up with the best solution, which was to work during the school year. Since I wasn't in any sports this year, I knew I wouldn't be super busy. Working during the school year was a great idea, because I've made so much money since school has started!
my family has had a great influence on my life ever since i was a little girl. they influence me not to hang around the wrong kids and not to do things that could hurt me in the future. My parents do not want me to do anything that will not get me to 18, they want me to live a long and happy life, but i cannot do that if i do not do something that will teach me something in the future.

getting a car, i would want a car to make people jealous, but something i would use alot, but a truck would be to expensive on hgas, but a car would be really great for me becaus, 30 dallors i can get a full tank of gas with the right car.
ReplyDeleteMy bad decision was on oldsettlers day. I drove around all day and went to the car show that night. After the car show, I did something pretty stupid. Cole and I went for a drive. I drove up north of town. Adam followed me and he wanted to race. I said yes and we raced. When we were coming back, my dad drove by. I know I was in trouble. After that day, I lost my pickup for 3 months and that was my worst decision.
